Erin Howard, formerly Senior VP of development at Big Table Media, has joined San Francisco-based Hoff Productions as the studio expands its reach into Southern California.
Howard has been appointed to the post of Senior VP of development and will be based out of the Mobsteel prodco’s newly launched Los Angeles offices.
During her nearly three-year stint at Big Table Media, Howard was responsible for creating and developing reality series for broadcast and cable networks across the U.S., including DIY’s Rustic Reno.
Previously, she served as VP and head of development at Jupiter Entertainment, where she developed such unscripted series as Discovery’s Sons of Guns, Animal Planet’s Wild West Alaska, Investigation Discovery’s Sins and Secrets and A&E’s Rodeo Girls.
Prior to this, Howard held various roles at BBC Worldwide, Asylum Entertainment, ABC Studios and Twentieth Television.
In addition, Caleen Frisbie will join Hoff Productions as senior director of development. Frisbie most recently served as director of development at Big Table Media and manager of development for North America at Cineflix.
Both Howard and Frisbie will report to Hoff Productions executive VP and executive producer Melanie Chilek, who will be stationed in LA.
Launched in 1993 by president and executive producer Michael Hoff, Hoff Productions has created programming across the non-fiction space for such networks as National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, WE tv, Science Channel, Discovery Channel, History, TLC, Travel Channel, Weather Channel and PBS.
