NEW ANIMAL PLANET SERIES HELL ON THE BORDER FOLLOWS THE MEN AND CANINES KEEPING OUR BORDERS IN ORDER

— The Nogales Police Department K9 Unit Has the Big Job of Keeping Watch Over the Crime-heavy Parcel of Desert Dividing the U.S. From Mexico —

(New York, New York, July 20, 2012) – Caught between a vast, bone-dry desert and a twenty-foot tall steel fence, Nogales, Arizona is a small town dead center in the drug war. The enemy is a ruthless Mexican cartel, a highly organized, well-financed, army of criminals smuggling narcotics, weapons, cash, and humans day and night. Their illegal profits are in the billions. But the men of the elite Nogales Police Department K9 unit are sworn to protect their town and their border. Whether raiding drug-stash houses, capturing human traffickers, or busting weapons caches, these officers and their canines put their lives on the line fighting a never ending HELL ON THE BORDER, premiering August 24, at 9 PM (ET/PT).

The HELL ON THE BORDER officers and canines in the line of duty include:

  • Officer Mario Lopez aka “Falcon” and K-9 “Readi”

  • Officer John Zuniga aka “Captain Chaos” and K-9 “Tesko”
