The Best Ranger Competition is often referred to as the world’s toughest competition. Twenty-three driven two-man Ranger teams compete for sixty non-stop hours to determine who will earn the prestigious title of Best Ranger. Established in 1981, the David E. Grange Best Ranger Competition replicates real life combat conditions and teamwork. Over the three-day event, their challenges might include everything from demolitions, machine gun marksmanship, target parachute drops, rope climbs and speed rappelling, to the brutal, team-destroying twenty-mile run carrying a sixty-pound pack.
