HOFF PRODUCTIONS REALITY SERIES "WET PAINT" PREMIERES THURSDAY, MARCH 30th at 8:30PM & 12:30AM (EST) / 5:30PM & 9:30PM (PST) ON TV ONE

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - March 1, 2006 -
A new type of lifestyle series from Hoff Productions debuts this month on TV One when the network for African American adults premieres Wet Paint, a four-episode series that offers an inside glimpse into the lives and livelihood of artists and entrepreneurs Maurice Jasper and Michael Wellington. Together they form "Maurice's Pieces" ? a West Oakland custom paint shop that transforms Harleys, classic cars, competitive snowboards, nightclub murals and electric guitars into extraordinary works of art. These guys are creative and savvy entrepreneurs, but can they make it big?

Each half-hour episode of this reality series follows the evolution of at least one new project, and the drama that ensues from tight deadlines, sky-high customer expectations and a partnership between a playful artist and a down-to-earth businessman. Pressure also mounts as the two married fathers of small children try to grow their business while taking on substantial child-rearing responsibilities while their wives are at work.

In the premiere episode, the two business partners and best friends tackle two projects with one three-day deadline creating a mural for one of the Bay Area's hottest Caribbean nightclubs and a makeover for the prized Fender guitar of R&B legend Dwayne Wiggins, who will be performing in the nightclub when the new mural makes its debut. Subsequent episodes feature Maurice and Michael as they transform a Harley for a former member of the German Special Forces in time for the San Jose Bike Blessing and Motorcycle Show while Maurice plans the ultimate princess birthday party for his soon-to-be three-year-old daughter; the two recreate the Mona Lisa on a tiny Fiat for an obsessed restaurant owner amid the mayhem of caring for their three-year-olds; and the entrepreneurs move outside their comfort zone with a new client, an extreme snowboarder whose approval of their work could blow their reputation wide open.

"At TV One, our goal is to present the breadth and depth of African American culture, and Wet Paint adds an interesting and unique slice of life that we haven't featured before," said TV One President and CEO Johnathan Rodgers. "Viewers will not only see creative artists at work in fascinating settings, but also the trials and tribulations of young African Americans who own and try to grow their own business."

Wet Paint premieres Thursday, March 30th at 8:30PM & 12:30AM (EST) / 5:30PM & 9:30PM (PST). It also airs on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00AM (EST)/ 7:00AM (PST).
